Delete Account Instructions
Last updated: March 24, 2026
This page applies to the My Community app listed on Google Play. It explains how a user can request deletion of their account and what data is deleted or not retained by the app after the request is completed.
How to Request Account Deletion
- Open the My Community mobile app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to your account or profile settings inside the app.
- Select the option to delete your account.
- Confirm the request when the app asks for final confirmation.
- After confirmation, the app sends an authenticated delete request to permanently remove your account and related in-app records.
If you cannot access your account and need help with deletion, contact techshrines@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account.
Data Deleted
The current account deletion flow in My Community is designed to permanently remove the authenticated user's account and related records from the app database, including associated uploaded files where present.
- Account record and login tokens.
- Personal, educational, and professional profile details.
- Uploaded profile and professional identity images.
- Posts, post media, post comments, and post likes created by the user.
- Marketplace posts, marketplace media, marketplace comments, and marketplace likes created by the user.
- Events, event media, notifications, donations, ads, committee records, and gallery records created by the user where applicable.
- Family links, user notifications, device registrations, subscriptions, sessions, OTP or password reset records, and user report records related to the user.
Data Kept After Deletion
The current application deletion flow does not define any separate in-app retention period for the deleted account's primary profile data. After a successful deletion request, the app is intended to remove the user's active account and related in-app records rather than keep them available for normal use.
- No additional account-profile retention period is defined in the current application deletion flow.
- If your hosting provider or infrastructure maintains temporary backups or server logs outside the app database, those systems are managed separately from the in-app account records.
Retention Period
The application code currently performs deletion during the confirmed account deletion request and does not define an additional post-deletion retention window for the deleted account's main in-app records.
